Rodeo/ Ride/ Tubing/ Family/ & FUN

Nate, Lauren, Casha, Macy, Britney, Taytum, Kendra, Weston, Brett, Elle, and Jeremy just before the tube ride down the Logan canal.
Casha & Macy. She couldn't wait for the ride!

Early Saturday Morning Me, Justin (brother), Corb (cousin), and Ryan (cousin) went on a road ride up Blacksmith fork canyon to Hardware ranch. It was nice and cool!

This was about half way up the canyon. This is probably my favorite road ride, absolutely beautiful.

Had a great weekend with the family! Jeremy and Britney came up to the rodeo Friday night along with Doug, Ginny, Ed, Connie, bunch of Moser girls, Kendra, Brett & kids, Brittney & kids (Brett's sister) and the Stowers family. Jeremy and Britney stayed at our house, and we loved to have them, it was so fun. We tubed down the Logan canal that afternoon with the family, and is was such a hit! The kids loved it, and it was very relaxing after you got used to the cold water. We were successful in keeping our tubes inflated because of the sharp rocks along the way. Had a fun lunch at willow park while the kids played and the boys played a little Frisbee. Mike & Jan called that afternoon and offered to watch all the kids while the adults went out and played more that night. We went to the S&S fun park and went on the 6 person rocket ride, and Kendra & Brett were harnessed up in the "blue seats" which seem to be more of a rush than the yellow, but needless to say everyone got a rush off that ride! We played a 9 hole mini golf game, and the deal was whoever took first got free ice cream from 2nd and 3rd. No surprises here, Kendra and Brett cheated their way up to first, and I hope they feel good about it. Just kidding, I just have to make something up cause my golf game is terrible. Thanks Mike and Jan for watching the kids, and letting us play all night long. Thanks family for making it such a fun weekend, we look forward for more fun times like these.

Oma Wimmer's 85th Birthday Celebration

Oma Wimmer turned 85 on the 24th of July! We had a fun gathering at the farm for pictures in the morning and then went to the Oak's Restaurant up the canyon for lunch. We returned to the Colonial Court for an open house for the grandchildren and greats that evening. It was a lot of fun and we shared with Grandma some new comfy "crocks" for her walking comfort. I think she enjoyed a fun day.

Britney's friends in Arizona!

Britney and Jeremy took a trip to Phoenix in June (what were we thinking?) and we got to see some of Brit's old friends from college. Here are Rachel and Sharmin after we all had dinner at Rachel's house. We also went to see the Diamondbacks play baseball against the Dodgers (amaziningly they air conditioned the stadium to a comfortable 75 degrees, a nice break from the 116 that it was outside).

Happy Birthday to Brayden

Celebrated Braden's 17th birthday on July 21st. Yummy waffle breakfast!
The rodeo started out with a patriotic bang!

The Fife boy's came to Utah for an EFY experience at Utah State. We were privileged to have their company for a few days. They had a great time riding horses, playing horseshoe golf, 4 wheeling, ping pong, and clowning around. Cute boys and fun guests.

The Lewis's finally have grass!!

Thanks to our good brother Jeremy and our friend Will, we finally got our sod in! We've posted a couple of pictures of our beautiful new lawn. Unfortunately, as you can see from the pictures, our dog (Spud Lewis) would rather spend her time laying on the hot, concrete patio patiently waiting for someone to open the back door than frolicking in the lush, new grass. We hope to get it all cleaned up soon and have a family party at our place!

California Cousin's Visit

Taylor and Woody our for a spin aroung the house.
Brayden and Buddy are loving life right now!

Jackson Hole

Tuesday Morning Fishing with Brett on the Logan River
Casha, Nate, and the girls riding along the path from Teton Village to Jackson

Lauren & Macy taking a nap while we ride

Last lap on the Teton course.

We had a great time in Jackson Hole this past weekend. We stayed at Jake's condo and I raced on the Jackson Hole Ski resort Saturday. Had a great race and felt really good! It's definitely my kind of course, I was fortunate enough to take the win in my category. We stayed with Fred and Audrey the rest of the weekend and had a great time hanging out, biking, playing games, church, swimming, and other fun stuff. We got home Monday evening and were excited to know we still had another day off for the 24th. Brett and I went out fishing Tuesday morning, but unfortunately we got SKUNKED! Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Snowbasin Mtn. Bike Ride

I thought I would start us off with fun ride I did last night with my friend Jake Pantone. We started at wheeler canyon and rode up to the "Over Look" that over looks Ogden Valley. It was such a beautiful ride and I had a blast! That area is so pretty right now, the smell, condition of the trail, and the amazing scenery. This is one of the reasons I love to Mountain Bike, to get out and enjoy sights like this, I love it! I hope we can all take advantage of this blog and keep each other posted with fun events, latest news with our families, and a great way to keep in better touch. I look forward to reading and sharing more experiences with all of you. I'll be watching for your posts! There are more pictures of our ride at www.n8stowers.blogspot.com
